General Description : Create and implement effective wellness and population health management (PHM) strategies. Includes reduce costs, improve member health status, and attract and retain talent.

Assist with new business sales and retain existing clients with 100+ employees. Provide clients' tools, resources, and assistance.

Identify vendor resources to support national PHM initiatives.

Responsibilities :

Participate in briefings and sales presentations for potential clients with 100+ employees. Act as expert in data management tool.

Review USI's concepts, practices, and service expectations.

  • Develop responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Analyze and recommend vendor / carrier-based services, products, and pricing. Work with client and vendor(s) to establish baseline metrics and methodology for ongoing monitoring of metrics.
  • Serve as liaison between USI, the insurer, and outside vendors.
  • Partner with internal teams to create customized wellness strategy options for clients. Focus on metrics, outcomes, education, programs, and policy / environment.
  • Create PHM program implementation communication materials. Includes e-mails, flyers, and brochures. Consult with client's communication team and outside vendors on materials.
  • Review client utilization and cost data to identify PHM opportunities and recommend strategies. Meet with $100,000+ clients to review annual wellness statistics.
  • Participate in national team meetings and monthly team calls.
  • Implement USI strategy with new clients. Transition of existing clients to appropriate platform.
  • Maintain data tracking tools for corporate reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create sales tools and enhance client communication materials. Includes marketing materials, case studies, and national newsletter.
  • Work with national PHM team to identify key vendors resources to support the CORE HEALTH strategy. Identify additional no-cost or low-cost vendors and service providers as well as fee-based services.

Build and maintain vendor relationships.

  • Develop a collection of products, services, and materials to support client wellness programs. Includes turn-key solutions, webinars, and seminar content.
  • Develop and deliver PHM training to internal and external audiences in line with national strategies and initiatives. Includes wellness seminar content for prospects and clients.

Develop internal training calendar for the region.

  • Work with internal partners and carriers. Ensure accurate and timely responses to issues.
  • Keep current with industry, new products, and competition. Includes medical carrier and corporate wellness programs and initiatives.

Educate benefits consultants and account executives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • 5 years + experience working directly with wellness / health promotion programs.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Concentration in health sciences field, such as nutrition, sports / fitness, or nursing preferred.
  • Must hold or willing to obtain state Life, Accident and Health insurance license.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terms. Includes chronic conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
  • Experience with strategy development, health-related policy, and environmental interventions. Some industry (carrier / broker / vendor) exposure preferred.
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations and facilitating decision-making.
  • Ability to convey complex information to a wide variety of audiences. Includes small and large group settings with employees, mid-level managers, and senior leaders.
  • Self-motivated. Demonstrate a "whatever it takes" attitude to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
