AMERICAN SYSTEM S is a leading innovator in the Federal Information Systems Engineering, committed to developing cutting-edge solutions in IT and Cyber.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate part-time Junior Engineer to join our team and contribute to exciting projects.
This position is part-time up to 20 hours per month with some opportunities for additional hours
As a Junior Engineer you will :
- Support customer engagement and business objectives for the Network Engineering Solutions group.
- Gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in a leading engineering environment.
- Research new technologies
- Cyber Security
- Assist with drafting positions papers related to Space systems for the team
- Other Duties as assigned.
A week in the life of a Junior Engineer :
- Assist Engineering Team : Work closely with senior engineers on various projects, providing support in research, design, and testing.
- Data Analysis : Collect and analyze data from experiments and simulations to improve project outcomes.
- Documentation : Help in preparing technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to project developments.
- Project Support : Contribute to the design and development of components and systems under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Problem Solving : Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts to enhance project efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Education : High School graduate with some college working toward engineering degree. Prefer a currently enrolled sophomore in an accredited Aeronautical Engineering program.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Technical Skills : Basic understanding of engineering principles, familiarity with CAD software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to Detail : Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data analysis.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. This is a part-time hourly position.
The salary range for this position is $32 - $36 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
