About The Position
ID : 51443418 Shift : 12 hour varied Description : 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS -Please only submit candidates that area aware of their submission to our facility.
Please do not allow candidates to contact facility. Please only submit candidates with an active NM or compact license. Please note time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval.
Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.2 years experience current required in a 15 plus bed intensive care unit required.
Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist / competency assessment.
CERTS : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
EPIC EMR experience preferred. Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmia) test will be dismissed.
SHIFTS : 12 hour varied position - Start time - 0700 / 1900 On call, weekends, holidays and float as needed - At alternate location-Will float to progressive care unit and med / surg.
Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU. Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands.
Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.
Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. ORIENTATION : 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Scrubs required and not provided by the facility. White scrub top. Scrub pants in sangria red, plum purple, hunter green or black.
Additional Information : NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS (updated 10.10.2024) 1. Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.
2. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.
3. State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
4. ENSURE AN ACCURATE SS# and DOB IS ENTERED. IF NOT, TRAVELER MAY BE PUSHED / AGENCY SUSPENED (creates I.T. onboarding issues).
