Provide engineering software system development and maintenance for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) Loads & Criteria Team to support their Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs (ASIP).
Position responsibilities will focus on engineering software development and information system design, development, and implementation.
This position will work on development and maintenance of several software systems within the team portfolio, both individually and as part of the Agile team.
Responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle including requirements generation and process definition, software design, development, integration, test, and documentation.
Main tasks will include updating current engineering analysis tools and processes and creating new tools and applications for the IFG Structural Integrity team, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques in the areas of multi-threaded user applications, database design and optimization, and numerical methods.

Desired skills
- Experience with software development utilizing Java, C / C++, C#, .NET, VBA and XML
- Experience with Object Oriented programming techniques
- A background in both aeronautical engineering and computer science / software development
- Experience with commercial databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Experience in developing web-based systems
- Experience in developing engineering analysis systems
- Experience developing software in the Agile environment
- Knowledge of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) under MIL-STD-1530
- Knowledge of the Fortran language
