We are looking for a self-motivated and technically proficient Outside Sales Representative, to cover our New Jersey and Pennsylvania who can work dynamically through all levels of the distribution channel.

The INTEX sales team is committed to providing premium customer service, expert industry knowledge, value-add to our entire customer base, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the Intex market share in NJ & PA through partnership building in the distribution channel, conversion of competitive specification and brand loyalty, and education through the architectural community of Intex’s superior performance.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure all NJ & PA distributors, dealer, key contractors, and architects are being successfully supported.
  • Strong architectural & design skills to support a wide array of standard and custom fabrication options.
  • Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing (capabilities & limitations).
  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Sell collaboratively with Distributor / Dealer base & Intex Customer Service Department to ensure maximum likelihood of sales & brand commitment.
  • Oversee sales cycle from opportunity to quote, to revision, to order, to installation.
  • Research accounts, identify key representatives and generate interest.
  • Manage the distribution channel while leading by example with creating sales opportunities and building relationships downstream.
  • Perform effective online & in-person product demos to existing and potential customers.
  • Work effectively through email, phone, teams, and in-person interactions.

Requirements & Skills

  • Near-Daily Road Travel (seldom overnight).

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Building materials / construction / architectural background preferred.
  • BA / BS degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Architectural / engineering background preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the NJ & PA Building Material Distribution Channel Preferred.

Success Measures

Ninety (90) days :

  • Completed in-person Intex Departmental Onboarding, with sales and product training.
  • Worked in-person with all associated distributor reps.
  • Have met with your top twenty dealers and contractors.
  • Quantified stocking position for all associated distributors and dealers.
  • Been trained on giving product training & AIA presentations.

Six (6) Months :

  • Executed 6 ride-alongs with dealer outside sales.
  • Ensure all stocking and key accounts are properly trained and merchandized.
  • Executed 6 AIA Presentations.
  • Train the Trainer on product & AIA presentations.

One (1) Year :

  • Exceed Sales Incentive Plan goal for sales and product line growth.
  • Created new sales partnerships in underdeveloped markets & accounts.
  • Create marketing initiatives with each of top 10 dealer accounts, and all distributor accounts.
  • Mastery of product offering, technical on-site skills and website fluency.

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set and level of experience.

The annual salary for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. In addition to base salary, we offer an accelerated commission structure and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
