Facility Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY : The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and maintenance of company facilities.
This role encompasses a wide range of tasks, including routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and compliance with safety standards.
The technician plays a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of the workplace. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Diagnose and repair issues with equipment, structures, and systems, including both emergency and planned repair work.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies, identifying potential safety hazards and addressing them promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including dates, issues, and solutions.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks that cannot be performed in-house.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering new supplies as needed.
- Assist in planning and implementing facility upgrades and improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and functionality.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of the facility and its occupants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Associate degree or an additional 2 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to function in a diverse, fast paced service environment, while maintaining a positive and proactive approach to a multitude of issues and challenges.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 to 6 years of professional work experience.
- Experience in the aviation industry.OTHER :
