Job Summary andQualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates allfunctions in the unit.

In partnership with the management team, theCNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance withestablished policies.

The CNC serves as a resource for staff andsupports an unparalleled patient experience.

The Stroke / Brain unit offers comprehensive,advanced care and treatment to minimize the effects of stroke,helping patients recover their health and functioning, and make themost of their capabilities so patients can get back to their lives!Designated by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Centerand by the State of Missouri as a Level 1 Time Critical DiagnosisCenter of Excellence, Research Medical Center's Stroke Centertreats more than 1,200 stroke patients each year from the KansasCity area and surrounding regions.

About this unit :

• Excellent Teamwork that promotesquality of care, patient safety, and patientsatisfaction
• Continuing Education offeringsrelated to neuro and CVAs
• Increasedcoordination of care and DC planning with the assistance ofneurology, therapies (PT / OT / ST), case management, rehab, andnursing
• 16- Bed Unit focused on ComprehensiveStroke Patients

Whatyou will do in this role :

• Partner with a multidisciplinaryteam to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality,patient-centered care.
• Assist with admissionand discharge processes.
• Partner with subjectmatter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes andservice.
• Provide coaching, feedback, andtraining to improve performance andengagement.
• Assist with staffscheduling.

Whatqualifications you will need :

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt mustbe obtained within 30 days of employment startdate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must beobtained within 30 days of employment startdate
• RegisteredNurse
• Registered NurseDiploma
