KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide support in financial management processes, capabilities, systems, tools, and applications within the areas of budget planning, execution, and reporting
  • Document procedures and client management decisions in formal narratives
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with client and identify opportunities to provide additional services
  • Investigate accounting issues, accounting methodologies, and effects on the financial statements
  • Support engagements by generating reports, performing reconciliations, and requested information from auditors
  • Identify reconciliation issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, and A-136
  • Research Federal standards, policies, regulations and technical guidance

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of one year of federal financial management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university
  • Experience in the preparation, review, and / or analysis of financial statements for Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred
  • Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • citizenship required and an active Federal government TS / SCI + Poly security clearance
