Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Accountant at our fast-paced startup, you will play a crucial role in managing and improving our financial processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Financial Reporting : Assist with the month end close process, adhering to the Percentage of Completion accounting practices.
• Account Reconciliation : Assist with account reconciliations including credit cards and bank accounts
• Job Costing : Assist with the job costing process, understanding how the Projects’ module in QBO works is key to this
• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Assist with the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Audit Support : Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Payroll Tax Compliance : Strong understanding of the payroll tax compliance process for different states
• Sales Tax Compliance : Strong understanding of the sales tax compliance process for different states
• Ad Hoc Projects : Prepare financial reports and analysis to support decision-making by management. FP&A experience is a plus.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to ensure financial processes align with company objectives and provide support as needed.

Qualifications :

• Experience : 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment. Accounting experience in manufacturing, SaaS, or construction is highly desirable.
• Skills :
• Strong understanding of GAAP and the Percentage of Completion revenue recognition.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in QBO, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Other : High level of attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
