Role Title : UX Researcher

Duration : Till July 18, 2025 (Possibility of Extension)

Work Location : Mountain View, CA - Hybrid work : Tues-Thurs in the office. Monday & Friday remote

Work Schedule : Normal PST business hours, Monday - Friday

Pay Range : $ 70-80 / hr

Project Overview :

Client Search 0 to 1 product area focused on images. Project is situated within the Search personalization team.

Overall Responsibilities :

• Design, execute, socialize learnings on new product experience
• Collaborate with XFN partners to identify research priorities
• Collaborate with XFN partners to apply learnings to product, design, and ranking strategy.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities :

• Conduct foundational and tactical qualitative research (eg. interviews, diary studies)
• Conduct foundational and tactical quantitative research (eg. surveys)
• Collaborate with Design, PM, Data Science, and Eng stakeholders to direct and advise on product, design, and ranking tactical and strategic product decisions in support of the launch of a new product.

Mandatory Skills / Qualifications :

Education

MA or PhD in Social Science (eg. psychological, social psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, etc).

• 5+ years experience as UX Researcher for software products
• 5+ years experience with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods (eg., interviews, diary studies, usability studies, surveys).

Non-Essential Skills / Qualifications :

• Log data analysis experience
• SQL / Python
• Survey design expertise
• Experience with Dscout, UserTesting
