We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing for Microsoft Teams Frontline Worker (FLW) platform. You will be responsible for our inbound marketing strategy that will drive the worldwide acceleration of Teams as a frontline worker platform.

There is significant momentum in this business across the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams, and we have a unique opportunity to help our customers with technological and process transformation across scenarios such as communications, schedule and task management, and employee experience built on a foundation of identity and management solutions designed for the frontline.

You will need a deep understanding of unified communications or business workflow products including add-in applications like Viva Connections, Shifts, Tasks and Walkie Talkie.

You will have an acumen to parse the rapidly growing set of competitors fueled by venture investments in this category. This role is strategic for the growth of Teams across hundreds of millions of frontline workers with lots of opportunity to define scope and impact, and to develop new, creative approaches to achieve our business goals.

The role involves great collaboration skills as you will need to work across multiple engineering teams, FastTrack, marketing and sales, and have a start-up mindset to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a world-class marketing team, empower them to drive impact and growth
  • Own the marketing strategy, value proposition, positioning & messaging for Teams for frontline workers
  • Partner with engineering, finance, FastTrack and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to drive app usage and field readiness
  • Work across field teams, data science and engineering teams to identify and analyze evolving customer needs and market dynamics
  • Analyze industry and broad macroeconomic trends, help to identify and analyze new, evolving opportunities including new startups of niche ecosystem partners to accelerate Teams FLW usage
  • Influence product strategy and roadmap with the product and engineering teams
  • Customer centric thinking, data fluency and collaborative communication skills
  • Managing engineering and business reviews with stakeholders to drive fiscal goals

QualificationsRequired / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).
  • 2+ years experience with Teams (or similar technologies), end user adoption strategies, or understanding of business workflows / applications.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business
  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Embody Microsoft’s leadership principles of creating clarity, energy and delivering success.
  • Ability to demonstrate Microsoft principles for managers including model, coach and care for your team.
  • Experience with productivity and teamwork business solutions and the ability to work in a fast-paced disruptive environment.
  • Ability to generate high-impact ideas, manage multiple stakeholders and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Experience working across virtual teams and influence others.
  • Effective communication skills across diverse audiences in both written and verbal styles and the ability to influence and drive change through others including senior executives.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with technical and business leaders.

Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
