Associate Professor, CTT

Professor, CTT

Job Summary :

The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full time Open Rank Professor in the Clinical Teaching Track (CTT).

The major responsibilities for this position are to lead, develop, and teach courses across the undergraduate and graduate curricula and help integrate best practices in engineering education across the Department.

This is a key teaching and leadership position within the Department of Bioengineering. The Department is a dual campus program with the first two years of course work in our B.

S. degree delivered at the Denver campus and the second two years at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Curricula for graduate programs (M.

S., Ph.D.) are delivered on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

The successful candidate will lead the Department's design experience, beginning with first year design and prototyping courses and culminating in the fourth year capstone experience.

Medical product design and development in all aspects is an essential theme for the department; undergraduate students take five semesters of design and learn not only the general components of design thinking and process but also the specific components required for medical devices.

The successful candidate will support design course instructors and provide alignment of program objectives through the core curriculum.

Since the identification and filtering of clinical needs comprise a core component of our design teaching, this work will include interfacing with multiple clinical clients on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

The successful candidate will also be expected to conduct pedagogical research and help implement best practices in various aspects of engineering education, ethics, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
