JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an individual with expertise in Radiant to support our procedure suite within the radiation oncology department.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a former radiation oncology technician, as they will be involved in testing equipment and applications.
While equipment management is often handled by vendors, the ability to effectively liaise with vendors will be critical.
Experience in a cancer center environment, including familiarity with Beacon and Mosaic, will be advantageous. This role will involve collaborating with the Clinical Applications leadership team to continue building out service lines and ensuring that the implementation meets the needs of our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Radiation Oncology Equipment Testing : Conduct testing and quality assurance checks on radiation oncology equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Collaborate with vendors to address any issues or discrepancies identified during testing.
- Application Support : Provide support for Radiant applications used within the radiation oncology department. Troubleshoot issues, perform system maintenance, and implement enhancements to improve functionality and efficiency.
- Vendor Liaison : Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications related to equipment management and maintenance.
Coordinate with vendors to schedule service visits, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with service agreements.
Service Line Development : Collaborate with the Clinical Applications leadership team to develop and implement service line strategies within the radiation oncology department.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance patient care delivery.
Documentation and Training : Maintain accurate documentation of equipment testing procedures, system configurations, and vendor communications.
Develop training materials and provide education to staff members on the use of radiation oncology equipment and applications.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology, biomedical engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a radiation oncology technician, with proficiency in Radiant and outpatient surgery / procedure workflows.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to radiation oncology equipment and applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, clinical staff, and leadership.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in testing and documentation processes.
