Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating patient needs and developing appropriate treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, stretches, protocols, and manual techniques
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for home programs
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy techniques for treating orthopedic, vestibular, neuromuscular, and / or pediatric conditions
Skills & Qualifications
Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred, but newer grads welcome to apply
- Significant experience working with geriatric, orthopedic, and / or pediatric patients is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in documentation demonstrating medical necessity, efficient coding, and patient results
Qualifications :
- Degree from an accredited OTA program
- Valid NC licensure as a COTA
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
