Part-Time 988 Lifeline Worker (Night Shift)
We areseeking compassionate individuals to join our team as part-time 988 LifelineWorkers. This role involves providing critical support to individuals inemotional distress through a direct three-digit phone line.
Starting July 16,2022, 988 will be available 24 / 7, 365 days a year, offering free, confidentialemotional support to those in need.
The position requires availability for atleast two overnight shifts per week, with a pay rate of $20 / hr. Initialtraining will take place in the Framingham office, followed by a remote workarrangement.
Qualifiedcandidates must have a high school degree and prior telephone or call-centerexperience, especially in roles focused on providing emotional support, ishighly preferred.
Applicants should have experience with data gatheringtechniques and demonstrated aptitude with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel,databases, and other software systems.
The ability to deescalate crisissituations while maintaining composure is essential. Candidates must be able toattend training in Framingham, MA, and must have a Mac (Google Chrome access)or PC, strong Wi-Fi, and headphones with a microphone compatible with theircomputer.
A quiet workspace for working from home is also required.
