About thisrole : As a Clinical Manager with Fresenius Medical Care,you will ensure that quality patient care is delivered whilemaintaining clinical operations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

CLINICOPERATIONS :

  • Manages theoperations of the clinic, including costs, processes, staffing, andquality standards.
  • Provides leadership,coaching, and development plans for all directreports.
  • Partners with internal HumanResources, Quality, and Technical Servicesdepartments.
  • Collaborates with or functions asthe Home Therapies Program Manager to oversee the facility's HomeTherapies Program.
  • Maintains integrity ofmedical and operations records and complies with all datacollections and auditingactivities.
  • Accountable for completion of theAnnual Standing Order Review and Internal Classification of Disease(ICD) coding.
  • Manages clinic financialsincluding efficient utilization of supplies or equipment andregular profits and loss review.
  • Responsiblefor all required network reporting and on-site state or federalsurveys.

PATIENTCARE :

  • Coordinates allaspects of patient care with the appropriate staff members, fromadmission through discharge of thepatient.
  • Ensure education of the patientregarding quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness,and access care.
  • Acts as a resource for thepatient and family to address concerns andquestions.
  • Accountable for timely completion ofpatient care assessments and careplans.
  • Manages timely patient schedules toensure facility efficiency and develops action plans for missedtreatments.
  • Plans, coordinates, and validatespatient eligibility for treatment.
  • Reportschanges in patient status regarding any clinical, insurance, ortravel and transportation issues.

STAFF :

  • Participatesin the selection and hiring of new team members and ensurescompletion of new hiring orientation and mandatorytrainings.
  • Responsible for all patient careemployees completing appropriate training courses and thatlicensures / certifications are current.
  • Providessupport for all clinical staff members at regular intervals andencourages professional growth.
  • Maintainscurrent knowledge regarding company benefits, policies, procedures,and processes.
  • Completes employee evaluationsand establishes annual goals.
  • Documents anydisciplinary actions and confers with the clinic Director ofOperations and Human Resources whenneeded.
  • Manages staff scheduling andpayroll.

PHYSICIANS :

  • Facilitatesthe application process for physician privileges and compliancewith Fresenius Medical Care Medical StaffBy-Laws.
  • Responsible for strong physicianrelationships and ensures regular and effectivecommunication.
  • Participates in Governing Body,an interdisciplinary team for each region including MSWs,Dietitians, MDs, DOs etc. that governspolicies.

EDUCATIONAND REQUIREDCREDENTIALS :

  • Bachelor'sDegree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
  • Graduate of an accredited School ofNursing (RN).
  • Current appropriate statelicensure.

EXPERIENCEAND SKILLS :

  • Required :
  • 6+years business operations experience in a healthcarefacility.
  • 12 months experience in clinicalnursing.
  • 6 months chronic or acute dialysisnursing experience.
  • Successfully pass theIshihara Color BlindTest.
  • Preferred but notrequired :
  • 3+ years supervisory orproject / program management experience.
  • Med / surgor ICU / CCUexperience.

PHYSICALDEMANDS AND WORKINGCONDITIONS :

  • Day-to-day workincludes desk and personal computer work and interaction withpatients, facility staff, andphysicians
  • Position may require travel betweenassigned facilities and various locations within the communityand / or travel to regional, business unit, and corporate meetingsmay be required.
  • The work environment ischaracteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperaturecontrol and moderate noise levels.
  • May beexposed to infectious and contagiousdiseases / materials.

  • The position providesdirect patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting, movingof patients, and assisting with ambulation.
