About The Position

A state psychiatric hospital is seeking an internal medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.

Hammonton, NJ, is known as the "Blueberry Capital of the World," and a visit during the blueberry season is a must for fresh picking at local farms.

Stroll through the charming downtown area, where you can explore unique shops, enjoy local cuisine, and visit the Hammonton Arts District, which hosts galleries and events.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Wharton State Forest offers hiking, kayaking, and stunning nature trails just a short drive away.

The credentialing timeframe for this position is approximately 6 weeks. The schedule consists of Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with the possibility of 1-2 weekend shifts per month on either Saturday or Sunday, also from 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and hold a valid New Jersey license. The facility uses a hybrid system of paper records and a custom EMR with CPOE.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a psychiatric hospital and with patients who have co-occurring conditions such as developmental disabilities (DD), substance use disorders (SUD), and other medical comorbidities.
