QUALIFICATIONS
- Administrative Certificate or equivalent (required)
- Valid Michigan teacher certification (preferred)
- Masters degree or higher in Education or School Administration (preferred)
- Three (3) years successful teaching experience (preferred)
- Current knowledge and experience with integrated technology, educational theory and best practices to personalize learning
- Knowledge and experience utilizing a Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) for academics and behavior
- Results driven, achievement orientated, strategic planning skills and ability to communicate a vision and goals to others
- Strong problem solving ability
- In this role you must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) trained or willing to be trained
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships with staff, students and families
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commitment to being the instructional leader of the building, supporting all district and building level programs to provide the highest quality of instructional for all students
- Promote positive student and staff attitudes toward school and learning
- Embrace and ensure accommodations for students with special needs are followed
- Support implementation and monitoring of a school-wide PBIS model
- Collaborate with the staff in the enforcement and implementation of the rules and other regulations of the student code of conduct to effect positive student behavior in the school
- Assist in the resolution of discipline problems and maintain records of any action taken to ensure that the discipline policy is administered in a fair and just manner and that an optimum learning environment is maintained
- Oversee matters of student attendance including communication with students, families and support agencies to improve attendance
- Help to supervise the arrival and departure of students, as well as breakfast and lunch programs
- Consult with families concerning student attendance and behavior to develop student support plans
- Serve as building Athletic Director
- Follow established procedures to evaluate building staff and provide appropriate feedback
- Understand and implement all master agreements and adhere to District’s policies
- Complete all required reporting in a timely and efficient manner
- Promote positive public and community relations by involving the school community in meaningful activities
- Conduct himself / herself in a professional manner commensurate with his / her position and project a good public image of the School District in dealing with the community and employee groups
- Assume other responsibilities as determined by administration

SALARY as per Negotiated Agreement with Building Administrators Association
