Senior Django / Python Software Backend Engineer

The Role :

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the founding engineering team and work closely with the CTO to help shape the execution of our technology roadmap.

As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will design, hire and lead teams. You will actively drive architectural decisions around building products and services for seniors aging in place and much much more.

It's an exciting opportunity to build and scale the system to fulfill our mission.

Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain back-end services that support our customer needs
• Create tools for our internal and external customers
• Build eventing pipelines for collecting and reporting detailed session events
• Participate in the full development cycle : design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deployment
• Increase efficiency through automation, improved signals, workflow streamlining and system optimization

• Work effectively under schedule pressure to fix defects, review code, design, write, test new code, and diagnose production issues

• Lead by example, care for the team, and establish credibility with the quality of the team's technical execution
• Drive a cycle of virtuous improvement with blame-free postmortems
• Coach and mentor engineers to support the distribution of best practices across Truehold as a whole

Required Skills :

• 7 to 10 years of experience in building End2End applications
• Hands on experience using Django, Python, React
• Hands on experience with AWS Cloud Platform, Postgres, CI / CD pipeline
• K8 / Docker experience
• REST API experience
• Knowledge of distributed systems and database technologies
• Experience with Agile software development practices
