Tech Firefly is teaming up with a national business management firm which specializes in the music and entertainment industry, to hire an Associate to join the team.
Requires to work full time on-site in New York office
As an associate you will be responsible for :
- Managing daily cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries.
- Tour management :
- Enter new tour dates into system from third-party sources
- Apply tax withholding reductions as needed
- Keep the team informed about tour timing, budgeting, and reconciliation
- Assist with budget preparation.
- Perform tour reconciliations, analyze and break down royalty statements, and reconcile inter-company accounts.
- Interface with clients and their teams.
Requirements
- 1-4 years of experience in Accounting or similar role.
- A degree in Accounting and / or Economics or similar.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks is preferred.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
