Job Summary
The Arch Catastrophe Analytics team is looking to add a Vice President, Head of Exposure Management to our dynamic and growing team.
This role would work closely with senior leadership, underwriters and actuarial teams across Arch Insurance to provide portfolio analytics, modeling results and actionable insights.
Candidates should be self-starters, with strong data skills and have an expertise in catastrophe risk analytics. This role will lead the portfolio management teams and will need be creative and ready to take on any task put in front of them.
Responsibilities
Lead the Portfolio Management teams for Arch Insurance
Deliver insightful reporting to underwriting, actuarial partners and 3rd party carriers on a monthly and quarterly basis
Develop the strategy to streamline pricing and aggregate calculations
Perform catastrophe event response analysis and loss estimation
Work with actuarial teams and catastrophe analytics teams to tools / techniques to optimize the portfolio
Education and Experience
10+ years of commercial catastrophe modeling experience
Expertise in 3rd party catastrophe model vendor platforms (AIR, KCC)
Familiarity with natural weather perils
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL
Experience with Python, R or geospatial tools (ESRI) a plus
Estimated Travel up to 10%

For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and / or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below.
This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$200,634 - $271,446 / year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
