MUST HAVE CURRENT CA LIC AT TIME OF SUBMISSION

Special skills required : med surg / tele experience

• Pt population : may include but are not limited to dysrhythmias; coronary artery disease; unstable angina; congestive heart failure;
• rule out myocardial infarction; syncope; metabolic and electrolyte abnormalities; renal failure and / or diabetes mellitus associated with cardiac disease;

rule out myocardial infarction; surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring; medical patients with diagnoses, which may include, but are not limited to pneumonia, cellulitis, influenza, intractable pain, and COPD exacerbation

16 bed. Mix of all patients from other units

Ratios : 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 for med surg, depends on patient acuity and census, ratios are mandated by state of CA

Float requirements : will float to all med surg units within scope of skill

Schedule / Weekend requirements : typically every other weekend rotation

EMR note if required / preferred : epic is EMR, preferred if traveler has that exp

Scrub Info : any color scrubs, will get detailed info with first day info Required upon submission :

Winter holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Summer holidays are Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.

Invasive Monitoring; Monitors : Type; ECMO; Ventilators : Type; ABG : Type) IV pumps, central lines, PCAs, glucometer, wound vacs, Phillips telemetry monitors, tunneled catheters, lines team is available for support, pulse oximeters, O2 flow devices, CPAP / BiPap new starts and established.

Additional Unit Specific Information : Orientation is completed on assigned shift (i.e. nights). Orientation checklist must be submitted to the staffing office at the end of the second shift of orientation.
