Quinnipiac University's School of Health Sciences invites applications for an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies to perform clerical duties and faculty / administrator assistance to support the Clinical Education and Compliance aspects of the Physician Assistant Studies program in the School of Health Sciences.

  • Provides clerical support and assistance to the pre-clinical and clinical education components of the physician assistant studies program, including onboarding compliance of newly admitted students.
  • Supports the designated clinical coordinators and director of clinical education in the performance of their duties.
  • Takes meeting minutes at program-related meetings.
  • Corresponds with clinical site personnel and students as directed by the designated clinical coordinators.
  • Assists in the onboarding of clinical preceptors and students at clinical rotation sites.
  • Gathers and enters data for various documents pertaining to clinical education; creates correspondence and forms as needed, and reviews / edits work for accuracy, format, spelling, punctuation and construction and all completed in a timely, well organized, detailed manner.
  • Provides support and collaboration with other administrative assistants within the program and across the school of health sciences with various tasks.
  • Using software, maintains and regularly updates clinical preceptor documents, records of clinical sites to assure compliance with ARC-PA standards.
  • Answers and routes telephone calls, emails and messages which must be kept accurate and confidential at all times.
  • Relays information and answers questions within the scope of knowledge.
  • Assists in supervision of student workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent required

Qualifications :

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience working in high traffic office setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
