POSITION OVERVIEW
The Department of Precision Medicine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Associate to contribute to our innovative projects aimed at advancing translational cancer research.
This role is a one-year temporary appointment, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of research funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Collaboration : Conduct research work under the guidance of PI and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance our precision medicine initiatives.
- Data Collection & Analysis : Collect research data, produce figures, and prepare results for publication.
- Lab Management : Organize lab documents, develop and refine protocols, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Training & Assistance : Train junior interns, assist other team members with their projects, and ensure the smooth operation of the lab.
- Literature Review : Review laboratory methods manuals, scientific journals, grant applications, abstracts, and other literature to stay current with the latest research developments.
- Project Planning : Confer with PI to review work assignments, develop plans for research experiments, and make necessary modifications to existing laboratory procedures.
Additional Duties
- Attend orientation and training sessions.
- Participate in annual performance evaluations and self-assessments to identify career goals and areas for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by senior staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biomedical sciences, biochemistry).
- Experience with cancer research or related biomedical research preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
