Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Occasional nurse extern working as a tech. Type of equipment : Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000, traction.
Documentation system : Meditech Scheduling requirements : Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments.
Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule. Floating policy : Contract labor is first to float.
If the staffing need is in med / surg, contract labor is expected to float to med / surg and take the assignment. Patient Experience requirements : Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients / family members.
Hospital Specifics- Certifications : ACLS, BLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set : Must have : Active RN license. ACLS.
BLS. ICU experience. Advanced skills needed : Trauma experience preferred. Procedures performed on unit : Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions.
Certifications Required : ACLS. BLS. Dress Code : (Required uniform) Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms Unit Guidelines / Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
