HilltopSecurities is currently looking to hire a Product Analyst in Dallas, Texas. The Product Analyst will play a key role in the strategy and design of various Hilltop supported applications.

The Product Analyst will work to constantly improve through data-driven analysis and by conceptualizing, defining and ensuring the quality of new features.

The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves business development, strategic thinking, data driven insights, market research, and awareness of goals versus constraints.

The product analyst will need to drive the balance between the ideal product and the marketable product always thinking ahead for how best to improve the user experience.

The candidate will serve as an internal advocate and escalation point for the application or process, they are assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to synthesize complex business problems into scalable solutions and drive decision making across stakeholders
  • Must have a logical, structured approach to problem solving and keen sense of system architecture
  • Support day to day product (application) issues by researching, resolving and prioritizing issues with key application vendors
  • Serve as a liaison with end users, various departments and outside vendors
  • Develop a scorecard of monthly results with focus on reducing issues and increasing system uptime
  • Manage any issues that arise with vendor; inclusive of service degradation, billing issues, production stability
  • Support system upgrades, projects and testing requests

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred preferably business related
  • Financial Service industry experience is preferred, specifically focused on back-office platforms
  • 4+ years of experience supporting financial products or investment operations processes.
  • Demonstrated the ability to define product requirements and lay out a plan to deliver a quality experience that is simple and complete with scheduled incremental improvements after the initial roll out.
  • You are gifted at handling multiple requests at once and understand how to prioritize to meet the needs of the consumer.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills covering complex business topics.
  • Comfortable with various toolsets : Salesforce Service Cloud, Power BI, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (or similar tool) and Sharepoint / Teams
  • FINRA Series 7 preferred or the ability to obtain within the first 180 days of hire

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Operations department’s work is vital to the functionality and success of HilltopSecurities. The department provides back-office support and service for the entire firm.

With well over 100 employees ranging from specialists to senior managers, each individual plays a specific role in the overarching operation of the company.

Operations’ areas of focus include clearance, settlement, unit investment trusts, government and mortgage-backed securities, money market instruments, and OTC derivates.

Our Operations professionals also manage transactions between mutual funds and insurance carriers and their respective investors.

As a part of Operations, you are expected to provide high quality customer service, doing your best to make sure our clients succeed, and keeping their best interests as your highest priority.
