We are seeking a highly experienced and talented CNC Machinist for Lathe OR Mill for both 1st and swing shift!
1st shift : Monday - Friday from 5 : 30 am - 2 : 00 pm
Swing shift : Monday - Friday from 2 : 30 pm - 11 : 00 pm
The CNC Machinist Lathe :
- Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, editing, and operating a CNC Lathe OR CNC Mill.
- Produce first-run, prototype, and production parts
- Read and understand CNC programs, layouts, and blueprints
- Inspect machined parts
- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Complete daily production / quality logs
Skills / Qualifications
The right candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude as well as strong attention to detail. They will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and will also be able to work well with a wide range of people and demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
Specific qualifications for the CNC Machinist position include :
- Minimum 7 years experience as a CNC Machinist
- Ability to setup and operate vertical machining centers and turning centers
- Ability to select and setup proper cutting tools as specified in CNC programs
- Ability to read blueprints and perform advanced shop math
- Ability to meet + / -.0005 tolerances
- Ability to read and manually edit G-Code programs
- Ability to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) as needed
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
