Psychiatrist Opportunities in West Palm Beach, Florida with Veterans Affairs
You will perform psychiatric and substance use disorder evaluations for a diverse population, including geriatric and post deployment combat Veterans, who are mentally ill and have psychosocial issues such as homelessness, unemployment, and poor family support network.
Provide a full range of therapeutic interventions including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and overall care of patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Some assignments may be eligible for hybrid work modality, up to 2 days of telework per week.
We have the following positions available : (No full time Virtual Positions available)
MH Outpatient : Provide outpatient care via Face to Face and Tele-health.
Consult Liaison Team : Work with our ED & provide coverage to Med / Surg units.
Float : Cover across the diverse spectrum of our MH program; May rotate work schedule to cover Inpatient / Outpatient / Domiciliary services.
Suicide Prevention Team / Outpatient : Perform psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning for Veterans who are mentally ill and have psychosocial issues.
Geriatrics and Extended Care / Home-Based Primary Care Program : May require visits in-person or via telehealth to the Veterans residence.
Mental Health intensive Case Management : Provides services for seriously Mentally ill Veterans, some with co-morbid substance Abuse issues and medical conditions.
Therapy with the Veterans is provided in the community, at their place of residence and at the medical facility.

Assistance with payment of outstanding med school loans may be available (up to $200K)

CME : $1,000 per year stipend (full-time board-certified psychiatrist) & 5 days paid absence for conferences.
