Our iron-rich cathodes are industry proven drivers of EV, ESS, and consumer electronics applications, and our team of industry leaders is developing a robust supply chain and manufacturing pipeline to deliver Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) qualified cathodes to our customers.

We have set up a state-of-the-art 15,000 sq ft industrial R&D center in Mountain View, CA. Join our team and be a part of the growing battery revolution.

We are looking for a Lab Technician to perform a variety of support tasks throughout the lab and facility. The working hours will be in the afternoon from 12pm-8pm.

Responsibilities :

• Assemble piping and mechanical systems based on instructions, sketches, and drawings.
• Assist engineers in developing methods and procedures.
• Execute procedures in the laboratory with minimal supervision.
• Receive, uncrate, transport, and assemble equipment.
• Clean laboratory glassware and tools.
• Empty satellite waste containers.
• Perform a variety of facilities tasks including handling shipments, minor repairs and maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Log maintenance tasks performed in CMMS.
• Receive and check-in chemicals in our inventory system.
• Conduct chemical inventories throughout the lab.
• Conduct inventories of assets and compare against CMMS.
• Maintain stock of consumables ranging from sample vials, to machine screws, to tubing hardware.
• Participate in safety duties including conducting inspections, safe work practices, and helping other staff to work safely.

Qualifications :

• Experience characterizing powder materials with XRD, SEM, TGA, BET, or ICP-OES techniques
• Experience working in laboratory or industrial environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Congenial and friendly relationship with coworkers.
• Ability to lift, squat, kneel, use step ladders, manipulate hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills including using email, creating and editing spreadsheets and documents in G-Suite and MS Office.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role :

• The estimated hourly rate for this role is $30.00-$45.00
• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus and equity plan.
