RESPONSIBILITIES : Coordinate vendors and consultantsand VDOT IT and business staff as assigned in the execution of ITprojects and related procurements.

Coordinate and oversee thedevelopment of proposals statement of work statement ofrequirements and RFP responses. Assist in team development whileholding teams accountable for their commitments and removingroadblocks to their work.

Facilitate multidisciplinary teams in thedevelopment of plans goals objectives policies and procedures forcompletion of a project.

Oversee and manage execution and / orcoordination of daytoday project activities as required. Manageworking relationships with key stakeholders including executivemanagement business management vendors project sponsors suppliersand technology management.

Set project goals that are consistentwith technical objectives and the agencys overall technologystrategy. Track and communicate a projects progress from a schedulecost and risk perspective to the project team customers and projectstakeholders.

Collaborate with technology leads and solutionarchitects to incorporate agency best practices into project plans.Drive consistent project delivery through the entire projectlifecycle including execution of procurements definition of projectplans resource allocation management of project risks scope andschedule delivery of value and wellordered transitions tooperations.

Monitor progress by thirdparty vendors and define andmeasure their progress with metrics. Develop and maintain projectbudget plans task lists schedules risks and status to includeresource allocation and schedules.

Adhere to VDOT and VITA projectmanagement practices and governance requirements. Exhibitsignificant emotional quotient (EQ) in handling project challengesand maintain a positive project culture in line with VDOTs missionand shared values.

Knowledge of processengineering and reengineering techniques and practices.QUALIFICATIONS The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years ofexperience managing large projects and a bachelors degree.

Fluencyin Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project Visio andOffice required. PMP Certification through PMI Experience withVITAs Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) system and ECOSprocess is strongly preferred.

Experience with Project ManagementOffice methodologies and practices is strongly preferred.Experience with the core Commonwealth IT procurement processes (RFPVITA Statewide Contract and CAI SOW) is preferred.
