The opportunity
EY's Solution Excellence practice is a team dedicated to assisting pursuit teams with the development of large scale, multi-competency solutions for consulting clients.
As an engagement drafter, you will have a direct impact on driving successful pursuits and ultimately successful delivery of sold projects across the firm.
Your key responsibilities
You will support the solutioning effort within a pursuit of a complex, multi-competency opportunity. You’ll work alongside and in support of a pursuit team, working directly with the Solution Lead and Solution Integrator throughout the pursuit lifecycle to define a competitive and deliverable solution.
You’ll report directly to the Solution Integrator and function as their right-hand support.
Skills and attributes for success
An ability to manage and delegate to the team helping on the pursuit
Being hands on in creating content within the deck to articulate solution details
Ensuring that information from the Solution Integrator, subject matter resources (SMRs) and Solution Architects is being incorporated into the solution plan
Strong attention to detail and proactive follow through, as you’ll be responsible for helping to coordinate with SMRs, scheduling meetings and following up on questions and estimates
To qualify for the role you must have
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related work experience
3+ years of experience as a technology consultant
Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle key phases and activities
Working knowledge of various delivery methodologies such as waterfall, agile and SAFe
Previous hands-on experience estimating consulting work
Must be able to manage up, working with more senior pursuit team audiences to complete critical tasks on fast timelines
Proactive attitude required to identify and close gaps to complete the solution plan to meet key milestones
Detail oriented to ensure changing information is passed on to dependent parties and accurately reflected in the solution plan as appropriate
Able to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, industries, and fields of play
Working knowledge of common program structures, organization, and roles
Be able to identify and capture dependencies, risks, and assumptions
Ability to travel to meet client needs
Ideally, you’ll also have
Exposure to multi-competency programs
Experience working with people consulting or business consulting teams

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $90,600 to $166,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $108,700 to $188,700.
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
