Calling on Clinical Fellows and ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologists seeking an opportunity to live and work in Las Vegas, NV! Soliant has partnered with the the largest school district in Nevada and is seeking applicants for the upcoming school year.
How does one qualify as a traveler?
- Will you be arranging temporary housing during the school year?
- Will you be commuting 50+ miles to work?
If so, you qualify for housing and / or meals and incidentals stipends!
For schools-based Speech-Language Pathologists, duties include :
- Participating inthe Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) / Response to Instruction(RTI) model by :
- educating teachers regarding typical speech and language development;
- assisting teachers in designing appropriate instructionstrategies;
- providing short term support services;
- and / orcompleting a referral to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) for those students who have not made sufficient gains through the RtI process.
- Completingevaluations / reevaluations as required by federal and state laws.
- Assisting the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in determining student eligibility for speech services
- Participatingin Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Providingappropriate therapy services to support students in their academic programsby :
- providing speech and language services to students using evidence-based practices;
- considering language and cultural differences of students for intervention;
- considering the augmentative and assistive technology needs of students;
- integrating school curriculum with speech / language therapy, as appropriate;
- serving students in the least restrictive environment (LRE) to the maximum extent appropriate
- consulting with teachers and special education staff
- providing information and assistance to parents / guardians;
- assisting in the coordination of services for students transitioning from one (1)-level of education to another (i.e., preschool to elementary, elementary to middle school, middle school to high school, and secondary to post-secondary sites).
- Conducting meetings and completing reports as part of the referral or dismissal process for speech students
- Documenting services by means of therapy and observation notes, or testing data

Requirements :
- SLP license from the Nevada Department of Speech-Language Pathology
- SLP certificate from the Nevada Department of Education
