Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location : Lake Oswego, Oregon
Position Overview : We are seeking a talented and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
The SLP will play a key role in providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to individuals with communication disorders, speech impairments, language delays, and swallowing difficulties.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated to supporting clients across the lifespan in achieving their communication potential.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to clients in individual or group settings, addressing areas such as articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, language comprehension, expression, pragmatics, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, therapeutic exercises, home practice activities, and assistive technology options.
- Monitor and document client progress, treatment outcomes, and changes in functional status in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and IEP meetings to contribute to comprehensive care planning and goal setting for clients in educational and healthcare settings.
- Stay current with advances in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences or workshops.
- Engage in community outreach efforts, educational workshops, and advocacy initiatives to raise awareness of communication disorders and promote early intervention.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oregon.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including schools, clinics, hospitals, and / or skilled nursing facilities.
- Knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques for a range of communication disorders and swallowing disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients, families, caregivers, and team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural competence, and providing client-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
