Global leading provider of biometric and non-biometric workforce management tools and integration software seeks Director of Operations to oversee multiple functions including supply chain, quality control, warehouse, shipping, production / assembly, and service and repair.
This role requires an exceptional leader of people, strong problem solving skills, and ability to embrace and promote company culture.
You will work with teams to make sure that processes are implemented and operated efficiently, including fulfilling orders and meeting deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Directs line managers for all activities and initiatives regarding supply chain, warehouse, service repair, shipping, and production assembly.
- Works closely with cross functional teams (customer service, Sales, PDM) to quickly respond to new and existing customers.
- Monitors and supports activities concerned with Quality Control.
- Controls expenditures within limitations of project budgets.
- Directs all aspects of staffing and performance management of subordinate managers, including effective hiring, performance reviews, objective setting, performance improvement, skill development, mentoring, planning, and coaching.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the manufacturing operations and building maintenance in a manner which ensures the most effective return on assets employed while maximizing quality.
- Optimize manufacturing costs through effective planning and use of staffing, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Leads continuous improvement activities for the production, service repair, shipping, warehouse, and supply chain operations.
- Plans and implements manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure the operations team supports strategic objectives.
- Provides updates and progress to Executive Management.
Education, Work Experience and / or Skill Requirements :
- Bachelor’s and / or Master’s in Engineering with an emphasis in Manufacturing or Process Engineering
- 8+ years’ experience in technical management roles; background in manufacturing required
- Proficient in lean manufacturing processes; Six Sigma Greenbelt (CSSGB) a plus
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a manager in a technical management role; strong leadership skills are essential
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (such as Oracle) is required
- Must have strong planning, communication, and organizational skills; excellent follow-up and execution of responsibilities
- Must demonstrate advanced analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
