The litigation legal assistant will provide support to attorneys and staff within a medical malpractice defense firm. Medical malpractice experience is preferred, but not necessary.
The legal assistant will support 2-3 attorneys in all aspects of the litigation process, including the preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence from inception of the case through trial in various jurisdictions.
This is a full-time position in our Chicago, Illinois, office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years as a litigation legal assistant and / or 7+ years practical legal experience
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient with Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging tasks and daily deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
