Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced detailoriented Process Engineer with a passion for driving process improvements and operational excellence for a Federal client in the Washington DC / Columbia MD area.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The Process Engineer will play a key role in defining documenting and improving processes through various methodologies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Define and decompose workflows using a structured operating model to assess and prioritize project activities effectively.
• Collaborate with project teams to consult on process efficiencies methodologies and technology options to optimize performance.
• Engage with architectural teams contributing to solutions and POCs ensuring that use cases contingencies and risks are appropriately managed.
• Create basic workflows from conversations and shadowing sessions translating them into comprehensive diagrams that outline processes.
• Document established processes using standardized techniques such as SIPOC ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders.
• Independently manage assigned workloads prioritizing tasks in alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Exhibit sound judgment in producing draft documents with minimal guidance as well as plan and lead the incorporation of feedback to refine documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to retrospectives aimed at improving overall workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with process documentation design and improvements.
• 5 years of experience in business analytics with a strong ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Solid understanding of Agile software development techniques and methodologies.
• Demonstrated clientfacing experience in consulting engineering or technical project management settings.
• Exceptional communication skills capable of influencing and engaging client stakeholders effectively.
• Proven ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and facilitate workshops and training on process improvement topics.
• Agency or public sector environment experience is preferred.
