JOB SUMMARY :

The Production & Document Services Associate is responsible for performing document assembly, finishing, and basic production support to meet customer requirements. This role involves operating office and production equipment, handling high-volume print and copy jobs, performing quality inspections, maintaining inventory, and providing first-level support to customers. The position requires attention to detail, technical competency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Receive, review, and electronically log customer jobs.
  • Operate standard finishing equipment (paper cutters, inserters, laminators, hole punchers) and office equipment (printers, copiers, fax, scanners).
  • Apply asset tags and track the move, add, or change of office equipment assets.
  • Process and distribute incoming / outgoing faxes and update forms using a PC.
  • Wrap, pack, label, and ship finished products.
  • Collect and submit meter reads; maintain supply inventory.
  • Perform quality inspections before, during, and after production runs.
  • Sort and scan hardcopy materials into printed or digital formats.
  • Integrate variable data files into printed format using templates.
  • Track, store, and back up jobs for future use.
  • Perform operator maintenance on equipment and report service issues.
  • Assist with minimal training to customer end-users on equipment.
  • May develop work processes, templates, and operate high-volume folding / inserting mail equipment.

Required Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Post high school technology training or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web / internet use, and network-connected devices.
  • Basic math skills (division, multiplication, percentages).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and business professionalism.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and complete routine tasks efficiently.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with high-volume print or production environments.
  • Knowledge of electronic file indexing, document conversion, and variable data printing.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, use standard formulas, sort / filter data, and generate graphs.
  • Experience providing first-level technical support for office equipment.
