JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing safe and effective patient care in an outpatient and endoscopy lab setting in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act.
Responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, assisting in specialized procedures, administering conscious sedation, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care / intervention, teaching of patients / family, implementation of treatment plan / MD orders, documentation and evaluation.
Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : See License and Certifications.
Experience : One year acute care experience as an Endoscopy RN, Outpatient Services RN, with phlebotomy skills required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for an employee with strong education and associated experiential background.
Phlebotomy proficient. Proficient in order entry and word processing.
Knowledge and Skills : Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
effectively managing, prioritizing and delegating patient care and completing work assignments and other duties, as assigned.
Demonstrate knowledge of common disease process, treatment modalities and interventions. Have above average computer skills.
License and Certifications : Current active California Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS. CGRN preferred.
Equipment : Computers, monitors, printer, fax, photocopier, pneumatic tube system, Omnicell, telephone, IV pump, endoscopic equipment, electro cautery system
Physical Requirements : Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements.
PAY RANGE
$46.50 - $68.39
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.
Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
