We are seeking an experienced analytical professional to join our team as a Senior Maritime Oil Market Analyst. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive system to track maritime cargoes of oil and refined products.

You will monitor global oil supply and demand fundamentals, provide in-depth analysis, and produce regular customer research reports.

As a key member of our team, you will also respond to customer inquiries, offering insights and expertise on oil market fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a sophisticated tracking system for maritime cargoes of crude oil and refined products.
• Ensure the system is capable of real-time monitoring, data integration, and analysis of global shipping activities.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
• Continuously refine and optimize the system to adapt to changing market conditions and technological advancements.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of global oil supply chains, production rates, and consumption patterns.
• Track and evaluate geopolitical events, economic trends, and industry developments that may impact oil supply and demand.
• Provide forecasts and market outlooks based on rigorous data analysis and modeling techniques.
• Identify emerging trends and potential risks in the global oil market.
• Write and publish comprehensive research reports that analyze oil market fundamentals, including supply, demand, pricing trends, and trade flows.
• Present complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner, tailored to the needs of diverse customer segments.
• Collaborate with other analysts and stakeholders to ensure reports are timely, accurate, and aligned with customer expectations.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and methodologies to maintain high standards of report quality.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on oil market fundamentals, providing timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored insights and recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings, webinars, and conferences to present research findings and discuss market trends.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and resource.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Energy Studies, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in oil market analysis, particularly in maritime shipping and trade flows.
• Strong understanding of global oil markets, including key drivers of supply and demand.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear and insightful reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
