POSITION SUMMARY :

This position is responsible for managing and leading the Chemical Vendor Regional Sales Managers for the United States. This position also takes a lead role in working with both domestic and international interests in new product development, customer engagement and strategies focused on gaining market share.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develops & implements strategic sales plans & budgets to reach sales goals for the Distribution channel.
  • Evaluates Distribution Channel structure, channel partner strength and capability, and bring forward well-constructed plans for channel upgrades, improvements and changes.

Establishes and maintains relationships with key Distribution partners.

  • Works with Application Engineering, Inside Sales and other Regional Sales Managers for pricing discussions related to Projects to achieve desired Closed Win rates.
  • Gather and share market pricing information for standard product packages.
  • Identifies opportunities to create standard part numbers and initiates ECR for implementation.
  • Leads and manages the Distribution sales team to achieve both individual and company goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Sales and General Manager to reach sales goals.
  • Direct and oversee an organization's sales policies, objectives and initiatives. Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current distribution sales programs.

Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

  • Meets with key clients and assisting regional sales managers with maintaining relationships.
  • Participates in creating and implementing the 3-year strategic sales plan.
  • Monthly forecasting of incoming orders and sales performance.
  • Work with Marketing to establish the trade show budget and schedule, supporting processes and goals
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the regional sales team and manage the sales program accordingly.
  • Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Develop and implements formalized business plans for designated accounts to outline available opportunities which increase new business and expansion opportunities.

Develop a regional growth portfolio, identifying and analyzing market trends influencing customer profit drivers within the industry.

Target gaps to create growth opportunities.

  • Drive and maintain relationships with key customers to gain input and effectively manage customer relationships. Maintains knowledge of regional / geographic market influences, customer and competitor trends and provides feedback loop back into the organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and lead an efficient and effective field distribution sales organization. Review reports on sales activities and compare them with planned activities to assure close adherence to and maximal achievement of goals.
  • Create and aid managers in planning of new customer campaigns. Participate in marketing, distribution, manufacturing and other activities relative to the sales department or customers.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM tool to maximize effectiveness of closing opportunities and create competitive strategies designed to take market share.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

Required :

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. with at least 10 years’ experience in or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be considered.
  • Proven leadership.
  • Ability to develop, coach and motivate sales staff.
  • Embeds our values in all aspects of the sales process and developing the sales team.
  • Proficient computer skills : Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle, organize and coordinate multiple projects at one time and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to see, plan for and execute strategies and ideas regarding the future of PFC.
  • Proven history of using creativity and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to think through challenges and provide proactive solutions.
  • Maintain an active role in appropriate professional organizations to network and nurture relationships with the water treatment market.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills.
