About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 8 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum 1 year;
first-timers are accepted License : GA or Compact license must be in hand Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have : - Availability to work at least two major holidays if three fall during the assignment- Compliance with all required documentation and lab scheduling within 48 hours of contract signing Job Description : Provide care to a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics- Handle mixed medical-surgical / telemetry and intermediate patients, including small populations of neuro, respiratory, and cardiac cases- Required to titrate cardiac drips and perform telemetry monitoring- Assignments may include all PCU, all med-surg / tele, or a mix depending on patient acuity and staffing- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 in a high-staffing ratio environment- Utilize healthcare systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR- Wear the specified scrub color : Navy Blue- Comply with expectations of working every other weekend and floating within the facility if needed- Participate in a 13-hour orientation program- Must complete a mandatory flu vaccine unless exempt for medical or religious reasons
