Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

Develop and oversees program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures.

Develops and documents care plans and therapy programs.

• Oversee and ensure plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated. Ensure necessary resources and / or equipment is obtained as ordered.
• May supervise and direct nursing staff.
• Coordinate, assemble, and maintain documentation as required.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education :

Diploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• 2 years of experience
• Bachelors of nursing preferred
• RN experience
• Inpatient experience preferred
• Out reach education with patients, families, nursing staff and residents preferred
• Pediatric experience a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Can work independently and can work as a team
• Multitasker
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
