City on a Hill Charter Public School graduates college-ready students that are responsible, resourceful and respectful democratic citizens, who are prepared to compete in 21st century community, culture and commerce.
We do so by emphasizing academic achievement, citizenship, teacher leadership, and public accountability.
City on a Hill is one of Massachusetts’ first charter schools, with the upcoming 2024-2025 school year being our 30th and final year of operation.
ROLE DESCRIPTION :
This role will not be eligible for renewal beyond the 2024-2025 school year as it will be the School's final year of operation.
This is a part-time, hourly position, two (2) hours per week. Schedule is flexible.
Establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships with administrative and school staff
Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development and individual student needs by providing relevant instruction according to the IEP and educational best practices
Provide consultative services for school staff by sharing and demonstrating specific techniques and working with school teams to facilitate relevant and consistent support for students
Participate in various meetings for the purpose of addressing student goals and needs in accordance with state law
Maintain up to date and accurate records
Implement and comply with School policies and procedures
Facilitate the learning of skills and functions essential for communication to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits.
Assess, screen, and evaluate students and participate in the eligibility determination process
Complete required Medicaid documentation
Provide progress towards IEP goals and write new IEP goals as needed
Required Qualifications
A belief that all students can and must learn at high levels and a commitment to your own continued learning, particularly as it relates to City on a Hill’s journey to operating as an anti-racist school;
Expertise with high school students with a variety of learning needs in the general education setting as well as small group setting.
Be licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in MA.
