Introduction

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Account Data Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the accurate entry, verification, and maintenance of financial records and data.

Your attention to detail and passion for data integrity will play a pivotal part in our company's financial operations and overall success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and verify accounts and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Input data related to financial transactions into the company's database or accounting software.
  • Maintain and update customer and vendor accounts, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • File and archive both electronic and paper financial records to ensure proper record keeping.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare for audits and assist with audit-related tasks.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of confidential information.
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes when required.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed, such as scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining supplies.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a data clerk, data entry clerk, or similar role in an accounting or finance setting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial data
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Quick learner with a problem-solving attitude
  • Familiarity with administrative duties and office procedures
  • Experience with document scanning and filing systems
  • Strong numeracy skills for accurate data entry and arithmetic calculations
  • Ability to prepare reports and summaries as needed
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs

Compensation details : 13-15 Hourly Wage
