This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that puts patient care first while also having the opportunity to grow, learn, and advance in your career.

This is a full-time, 8-hour shift position, working Monday - Friday. We are currently hiring for 3pm - 11pm.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate all admissions processes and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission.
• Process inquiry and referral calls and respond to requests for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission.
• Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork with patient.
• Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources.

Qualifications

Requirements :

• Licensure : Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts.
• Education : Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Experience : 2 years of psychiatric experience required. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
• Other : Excellent communication skills, i.e., verbal and written. Ability to prioritize; work well under periods of high stress and pressure.

Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an understanding of funding entities. Thorough knowledge of psychiatric services provided by the hospital.

Ability to work flexible hours. Requires a basic understanding of computers; and accurate data entry skills. Knowledge of insurance contracts and payors.

Knowledge of precertification for inpatient hospitalization. Experience gathering and documenting medical and clinical information to assess and staff appropriately with physician.

Ability to triage for medical and psychiatric needs. Excellent customer service skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, visitors, families and referral sources.
