About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Labor and Delivery Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, every other weekend and holidays required Guaranteed Hours : 36.
00 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery, recent experience required; 6 months of L&D travel nurse experience required, 1 year preferred License : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications : Required : BLS-AHA- Preferred : ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM Must-Have : EPIC experience preferred- Either AWOHNN (intermediate or advanced) or NCC certification in electronic fetal monitoring preferred- Successful completion of a basic fetal monitoring test during onboarding Job Description : Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients' needs.- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for patients based on assessments.- Initiate assessments based on patients' problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.- Manage patient care.- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.- Complete other duties as assigned.
