Navigator Details
Essential Job Duties :
The Breast Health Care Coordinator's primary function is to assure that any patient with a suspicious mammography finding will receive timely diagnosis and treatment.
Will assist radiologist when informing patient of suspicious or positive findings.
Will identify personnel in departments involved in the care of breast health patients (i. e., physicians, nurses, radiology staff, social services staff, radiation oncology staff, hematology / oncology clinic staff) and develop relationships with them.
Will initiate communication with patients upon learning they have a suspicious mammogram or positive finding.
Will build relationships with other patient care coordinators.
Qualifications & Licenses
Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program
Must have active IN RN license
Must possess knowledge of community resources, hospital process, structure and function.
Must have a powerful desire to make a difference in the cure for breast cancer.
