Looking for CNC Operators for 1st, and 2nd shift
SUMMARY :
Fabricates precision parts from metal, plastic fiber, aluminum, etc., using CNC machine
tools such as lathes, milling machine etc. Uses precision measuring instruments and
various hand tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material
requirements.
Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine
malfunction.
Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece.
Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work
pieces.
Assists machinists to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport
finished work pieces.
Performs preventative maintenance on machine per requirements.
General housekeeping (sweeping, mopping etc) and overall cleaning or any other
tasks assigned by supervisor.
Any and all duties as assigned.

Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Reasoning Ability
Demonstrates the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out
job functions.
Computer Skills
Use of computer system to issue material, labor and record quality data.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions (non-

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by
the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job :
Person must be able to sit comfortably; possess excellent fine motor skills in
areas such as small parts production and assembly; entering of computer data;
and working with paperwork.
Person is required to frequently reach with hands and arms; walk; climb; stoop;
kneel; and push and pull large objects.
Person must exhibit excellent gross motor dexterity and coordination as they
might regularly lift and / or move up to 50lbs; and at times be able to use force to
push / pull over 75 pounds with assistance of casters, and lift equipment
provided.
Person must be able to speak clearly to be heard; as well as hear work related
instructions from co-workers, door bells, lift truck noises and other equipment
moving around them.
Person must be able to adequately perform tasks requiring close vision, distance
vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
