Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, bed facility specializing in general adult psych, adolescents, geriatric, and women's services.
The hospital is located in southwest Houston serving the Houston and surrounding communities. Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is conveniently located between the Galleria and Meyer land shopping districts, and is only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Midtown.
Our continuum of care includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders.

Position Summary :
Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Maintenance and Technician to perform a variety of building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
Experience : Must have at least 2 years’ experience performing general maintenance, basic mechanical engineering, and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
Experience in operating a variety of hand / power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
Additional Requirements : Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry is a plus. Experience with compliance with The Joint Commission, EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software Suite preferred.
