BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR - NAVY

Coming soon our 7th and newest facility located on the Kitspa peninsula in Bremerton - opening in Early 2025! You will have the unique opportunity to assist with the overall growth and development of a small business and work for a rewarding employer with an outstanding team of professionals to build customer and vendor relationship, troubleshoot new challenges daily, and support EST’s sales team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Establishes professional customer network relationships with appropriate customer personnel to elicit customer loyalty; which will in turn generate repeat business.

Receives and responds to calls and emails from current and prospective customers, explaining type of product and / or service offered.

Works with the customer to assess and understand their applications, equipment and / or service needs.

Source products and develop quotes based on customer requests.

Make recommendations on strategies for completing the sale.

Research and price new products, negotiate on pricing and deliver and identify new vendors as needed.

Establishes professional relationships with appropriate vendor personnel to garner most favored vendor pricing. Secures opportunities to quote and promote EST products and / or services.

Utilizes Customer Relation Management (CRM) system for new customer setup, tracking all activities including, new leads / opportunities, scheduling follow up calls and accurate maintenance.

Order booking and delivery instructions.

Provide support of Outside EST Sales Representatives and needed support in all phases of sales cycle.

Develops lists of prospects from EST records, resource material, and existing industrial / commercial contacts.

Attend trade shows or other sales and networking events both in person and virtually.

Occasional travel and extended hours 3 to 4 times per year may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Strong customer orientation.

Understanding of the importance of being a team player to achieve organizational goals.

Excellent communication and listening skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized and dependable.

Must have a highly developed ability to multi-task. Requires ability to switch gears quickly and be able to comfortably operate with multiple interruptions

Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Ability to travel occasionally and work extended hours.

2-4 years successful sales and customer support experience preferred.

Industrial or government sales application experience preferred.

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college preferred.

In lieu of degree, five years or more of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience with government contracts strongly preferred

Strong knowledge and background in mechanical, plumbing, electrical equipment and electronic systems a plus.

Strong computer skills including 3 years' experience with MS Office in a work environment, particularly Excel & Outlook. CRM experience highly preferred.

Driver’s license and excellent driving record required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport, Military base passes and other access credentials.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

May involves prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk doing computer work

Traveling in a vehicle or on an airplane 10%

Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds

Ability to utilize a ladder with 300 lb weight limit
